Jewel of ISLAND OF CORSICA
Bastia and Ajaccio
19.04.2020
I travelled by Eurostar train, London to Paris, then TGV fast train to Marseille .Then ferry from Toulon to Ajaccio. Staying 2 nights in Ajaccio , and 2 nights Bastia, on the Island of Corsica. Ajaccio is the birth place of Napoleon, I saw the house where he was born. and statue memorial.--------------------I moved to Bastia by train,it is 153 km. Bastia is in two parts, the old quarter and port and high up the Citadel. The views are great from up here. The Citadel is from the 15th century and is mostly intact. I stayed at the Hotel Univers in Bastia.
Took the ferry back to mainland France at Marseille. ---
